Rappler

I build software and custom tooling in my art practice, programming & designing interactive systems for games, design tools, experimental text, and AI.

Style

I design, program, and write. I build best when I am literate and can flex into any part of what I touch. My artifacts often operate in anticipation of emergence: of larger systems, networks, and protocols that must be maintained, tended, and responded to.

I’d like for our relationships with computers to be more poetic, expressive, and intimate. These days, I’m trying to make the website as a medium as ubiquitous as paper.

Creative tools, games, and narrative tools are my favorite areas to work on; I’d like to structure and sculpt environments that continuously stretch our agency to express and storytell.

I’m inspired by game interfaces, DAWs/VSTs, field recordists, synthesizers & modules, film studies, spatial poetics, music sheets, wikis, experimental literature, esoteric and religious texts, systems that only exist in fiction, and my ever-growing collection of physical sound recording media.
